Most likely cause of accident might be no visible signage warning about “Sharp turn ahead”. If that’s the case, then its not destiny, its negligence on part of road authorities and just mourning lose of Mr. Bhati is not enough.
I only accept destiny/luck, when I have tried my best and there is nothing else reasonable or practical I could have done to prevent a bad incident from happening.
Building new roads and checking helmets and drunk drivers is not enough, authorities need to do something serious about traffic management in terms of policy and safety.
A good network of luxury buses can encourage rich people to travel by bus and leave car at home. Subsiding general public transport can lead to cheaper tickets and increasing frequency and reliability of services can lead to more use by general public thus decreasing number of private vehicles on road.
To encourage use of two wheelers, special lanes for two wheelers and non motorised vehicles should be there. Drainage should be covered and divider walls, railings and road should have smooth rounded edges, so even if people fall over or scooter go off road, there are less chances of serious injures.
Finally road contractors should be paid their full money, only after the road have survived four seasons, without being washed away. A damaged road with lot of loose gravel and pits present a sudden surprise change in road conditions and thus it is more dangerous than mud/stone track.
I hope the news of this tragedy is just a joke and he comes back laughing at us. Why do good people always go away early? There would have been no harm if some corrupt political scoundrel had died in that accident instead of our beloved Jaspalji.
IT IS AN SHOKING NEWS ABOUT THE SUDDEN LOSS OF AN SINCERE AND HONEST PERSON LIKE JASPAL BHATTI JI, MAY GOD BLESS GOOD PLACE FOR HIS SOUL, S.K.CHAUDHARY
I AM DEEPLY SHOCKED.HE WAS FUN LOVING,SIMPLE,TRANSPARENT & CLEAR CRYSTAL PERSONALITY. NATURE/GOD SHOULD BETTER TAKE CARE OF CORRUPT POLITICIANS ETC. & NOR PERSONS LIKE JASPAL BHATTI JI.
