by tushar deshpande on Oct 22, 2012 12:29 PM  | Hide replies

In my view, 90% of Yash Chopra's Movie were based on love triangle (either 2 girls and a boy or 2 boys and a girls) based.........and nothing much..........the only reason of his movies got successful were.........
1. Strong focus on Music/Songs
2. In all movies Switzerland/europe.
3. Lots of money/richness/grandness shown (which is attracting poor/middle class people of India)
4. Top most actor of that particular time selected for role.
5. maximum movies came on Holidays on Box Office.

Tushar

You are your harsh comments...his films were good, he was timeless that he was able to make hit movies in the 60s and even in 2000s. Only one movie was Indo-Pak - Veer Zara - and that too it was a pure love story between two individuals not talking of any friendship between India and Pak. In fact it was one of the best movies made in the last decade, which actually had only a handful of good Hindi movies. Your criticism of this gentleman is harsh and the timing of it even worse. And remember, merely calling oneself Deshbhakt does not make you so. I too am proud to be an Indian and a Hindu but we are talking movies here not Indo-Pak relations.

Good bye Yashji
by kumar jagtiani on Oct 22, 2012 05:36 AM

All futrue hindi romantic films will be incomplete without the magical touch of Yashji.
After Raj Kapoor, Yash Chopra was the only
one who could understand love, romance and women. May God Rest his romantic soul in eternal peace.
