A man dying and his aathma getting into a house fly!!!! I think this is something that is of a kid's level of imagination... Why so much hype for this script!!!! Its very childish...

I agree technical the movie is good by Indian movie standards and Sudeep has done his role well but that apart whats so greatt in this movie!!! Such high critical reception for this movie... leaves me baffled!! really.....

This is just my view and no offence meant for Eega/ Naan Ee/ Makkhi fans...

It was one of the most hyped movie in Telugu. Biggest marketing gimmick. It is just a fun movie for kids. Rajamouli's bogus claims of spending 35 crores. He must have spent some 4-5 crores and minted about 100 crores. He just hired some amateurs for CG and the CG looks amateurish too.

At the end u need only how the film is....The film is awesome...and it is a family entertainer....the way the film is shooted u may never find that in our indian cinima....appriciate it rather than critisice...

Mr Balaram, I did say it is a "fun movie for kids". I dont think it is awesome. The CG work is just mediocre. To prove my point, it is a big hit in Tamil and Telugu due to the hype but a dud in hindi, as there was no hype!

May be you are right brother... but remember it is also childish to think a kid with blue skin dancing on the head of serpent, or a man died of crucification returning back after 2 days..
Same goes with Santa Clause, Superman, Spiderman, Hanuman, Tooth fairy..etc. You can stay there and think all these are childish, but there something called 'rest of the world' which appreciates and enjoys fantasy and imaginations. After all thats a unique thing which makes humans different.

Two dying twins and them reborn again to meet their mom in previous birth and to avenge for their death. If that is acceptable, then why not this.
Secondly, what makes you feel that movies need to be factual?

Better than most

Rajamouli is known to draw inspiration from world cinema for his films. Whether it is Magadheera (Chanderi noval, 300, myth, iceage, couching tiger hidden dragon, etc..),
Maryada ramanna soon to be released as SON OF SARDAR (our hospitality) and
Makkki (basic idea from a australian short fim called COCKROACH)

Nonetheless, This guy is very talented.

Well said. But, tend to disagree on Makkhi. The idea was originally conceived by his father, a very reputed writer - Shri Vijendra Prasad.
Rajamouli has openly accepted in an interview by CNN-IBN about the same. He recollected the nuisance created by a fly by sharing his experiences from his childhood in a village where because of lack of proper sanitary facilities, he was often troubled by flies.
Fact goes that he then studied some Hollywood movies to look at how emotions can be rendered by using graphics on to the fly.

Neither is he a hero, nor a villian. He is a good actor. I am not interested in knowing if he is hero material or heroine material. He is a good actor.

Era of Transformers . When you believe some autobots come to earth to save the mankind taking shape as they wish don't you think its made in india. CGI to the hardcore hollywood buzzers is made in india or by indian technologists at some other country.

You're comparing a Hollywood movie with 200 million dollar budget and 1000 people working with a telugu movie with a fraction of that budget and a few people working. This is a good achievement no matter what.
