Hi Raja I am the co writer and co producer of Chittagong and wanted to clarify a factual error in your review. You said Chittagong was like a Wasseypur reunion and implied that we went with the same cast. The irony is that we sent all our actors for audition to Anurag. I personally called AK and told him they were fabulous and he agreed and cast them! We finished our film way before Wasseypur and because of various tragedies were unable to release it till now. Anurag himself has publicly acknowledged and been appreciative of getting our cast. So kudos to Honey trehan and Nilesh Maniyar for finding us this cast. And to Bedabrata Pain for directing them superbly.

Hi Shonali. Thanks for the message. I know Chittagong's been on the blocks for a while, which is why I said it "seems like" a Wasseypur alumni reunion. Given historical chronology, these could well be the ancestors of the Gangs gang -- if they'd lost their marbles down the generations. And indeed, many kudos to those who picked your cast. We're all grateful : )
Why only three star, Manoj Bajpayee has acted very well. You critics will give above 4 star for Sri-Devi. Just look at Manoj character and some of finest shot taken through camera. You need London or Darjeeling to get better camera. I do not know what camera works should be for critics and what acting must take. I should take classes for critics. Just see the film and find out how the difficult plot it has been and acting is.
Released without much hype this film looks best of today's releases..Not only it got appreciation at various film festivals, it is getting thumbs up from all the leading Indian critics..

Gowariker's film on the same theme was pathetic and uni-dimentional making historical figures stereotypes..
