this critic 'sorely misses something'. 1. always ve to drag Akshay kumar or his moview in all her reviews even when he is not concerned. Grow up. SV U r 2 old to act like a g r u m p y b 1 t c h . as for JTHJ, Ravaan n Yuvraaj r not lesser apprciated classics. they r solid clasics. ask any realy movie music follower. so dont try to patronize. just f off n d i e.
Personally i am disappointed with JTHJ's music... Almost all the songs seem to be remix of Rehman's own music with similar tunes.. Even lyrics are not that strong.Expectations are always high from Gulzar saab.. Probably was looking for another brilliant album like Rockstar but didn't find that..Overall Only Jab Tak Hai Jaan & Challa leaves mark (but then Rabbi's voice looks totally mismatched with SRK thus visual disappointment) :(
This review is pre meditated and you cant expect a gud review from Sukanya. The following comment is a absolute LIE from the reviewer "I've heard the songs of over and over again with the hope of, well, getting used to them". ARR's music always gets better and better when you keep hearing it.
Critics who themselves never every done any g8 things in Life for themselves or for the nation are busy speaking about legends like ARRahman, Sachin Tendulkar . They are speaking about retirement also. Funny. Life is never consistent. After going through peak some or other time champion has to come down a bit e.g. Michael Schumacher.

..but when talking about good & not-so-good music (and art forms) a person can fail..It's like Tendulkar scoring duck..in similar lines I think Rehman has scored in single digit after hitting a century with Rockstar album..

We get frustrated when Sachin gets out in the nineties. Its not because he has not played well but because we expect more out of him each time. Similarly its not that the music is bad in JTHJ, its just that we were expecting a bit too much probably
