Have you ever heard the name of Uttam Kumar or Soumitra Chatterjee or Utpal Dutt or Tulsi Chakroborty. if u wud have seen any of their movies u wud have known what acting is. Talking about Bollywood if u want to define the tag "BEST Actor" than Nasserudin Shah ranks much much higher than anyone in india at present irrespective of all regional bias and Mr AB IS and will be THE most loved actor in India.

pradeep ple. stop hats AB... ALL south indian actors are greats..... but infront of amitabh they all very small....even nasseruddin shah are same limit.....nasir is a good actor but not star.. amitabh are good actor as will as superstar...... no no one is there only big b... pradeep u stop mention comments
or hate him, but he conuered the millions of hearts around the globe, yes agreed he is overrated but he himself said that respected DilipKumar is the pillar of the Indian film industry.Yes there were quality actors from south also but they were limited to regional. success

before 10 years kamal hasan is brillent.,, but recently his acting is very artificial,,,, u see hey ram or dashavatar, he done only make up not acting
i would put Inquilaab, Andhakanoon and sooryavansham instead of mard,coolie and shehanshah ..........As far as previous two lists are concerned I fully agree
This is just too much to digest.. 70 movies..?? why did you miss Jadugar, Toofan,Akelah etc?? should have included those as well.. MARD in the list? you must be kidding me!!

Even I don't agree Mard to be in list but totally agree with the last two list and most in the present list and probably the rest that are about to come.....At the same time I am sure 70 movies are right in numbers for an actor/star who spend four decades experimenting in acting and still maintaining a fan following which is unmatched in history of Indian cinema

There is no doubt this. Rajkumar is the only actor who has acted in all kinds of roles be it historical, devotional, action, family drama, bond style, comedy, thriller etc. He has one classic and block bluster in each of these category. His movies had positive impact on society whereas all these movies of Amitab & others glorify negatives like smoking, drinking, rowdism etc.

Dr. Rajkumar's appeal is limited to Karnataka. Mr. Bachchan is loved, respected the world over. How many people from Pakistn/Bangla Desh/ Sri Lanka/Malaysia/Nepal/Bhutan/Thailand/Mauritius/Singapore...... have even heard of Dr.Rajkumar. So my respected brothers please do not offer illogical arguments.

Dr. Raj Kumar is was very good in 'over-acting'.. and his sons are not good enough to act. ;-)

we are not talking about some village level sundry actor. AB is national level actor who is famous from north to south. Ask any one outside your village whether they know your man

sreevastava Mohan lal , mammotty ,kamal hasan not villege level actors, they have won soo many national awards @national level beating all bollywood actors by miles, many times. if u dont know them means u dont know anything about cinema.
count the national awards , how many times Mohan lal and Kamal won awards from the hands of indian President ?
people who know cinema know who is mohan lal , Raj kumar, kamal hasan.
north people who know only hindi language can understand hindi films only. thats their problm.
