Does your mind ever get tired of wallowing in the gutter or is that where it remains full time?
Amitabh is a Phenomenon not just a superstar. Rest of them might be a star, superstar...
He is very humble down to earth person, disciplined, well behaved and whose films ran because of his persona more than the media hype, as he shunned media in his prime career.
Unlike some of todays superstars who cant live without media hype and paid PR. No one can replace him and his stardom.

With his unparalleled command over hindi, one would have expected directors to utlize that. No one did so far. May be some director will. However he did best given his limited dancing, fighting skills in an age where hindi films had good dancers (RishiK, Mithun) more macho (VinodK) and better actors (SanjeevK). Testimony to his hardwork and excellent relationships with fellow actors and directors
The real actor in Indian films is none other than the great one and only Dilip saheb. There cannot be any actor like him .Right from footpath to shakti, maashal, he is the real king.Every actor has copied him. He is the only one who underplays the role. Just lives. In Mashaal, how can one forget his crying on the road. None praised him, but when the same thing was shown in an english film, please praised. very sad indeed. Actors may come and go but there is only one real actor

Hopefully in old age, AB will repent for his mistakes of the past and repay his debt to the society - pay his tax dues, do something charitable for a change. Given his stature and popularity AB can do wonders for the society. He should try and give back something to UP instead of robbing poor farmers and innocent villagers. I lived in Allahabad and people there voted for him against a stalwart like HN Bahuguna. They haven't forgotten the disappointment. He hasn't even bothered to go back to apologize. However none of this detracts from his popularity with the hindi film lovers of the 70s and 80s especially.
