Paan Singh Tomar

Vote for Paan Singh Tomar...a realistic film with ofcourse a commercial touch but the kind that an international audience can understand with the subtitles. Not that GOW isnt good but this is more Oscar material with Irfan khan known enough to have a chance to win an Oscar.

unethical demand of auto union to increase fare in mumbai
by Rohit on Oct 07, 2012 09:12 PM

Autos are integral part of Mumbai and many mumbaikars are depending on autos for travelling to cater their daily needs to reach destination for day to day work. due to large number of autos, auto union should say thank to people of Mumbai as because of them so many autovalas got opportunity to earn money but instead of thanking, autovals are behaving rudely with passengers and now they are asking to increase fare which is completely unethical and it is a like robbing common people who unfortunately has no option except to travel through auto. Autos are getting enough fare and all autos are CNG based. Which gives average greater than 25 km per Kg. if 33.5 Rs is the rate per Kg and if we check fare for travelling 19 kms in Mumbai, the fare comes out to be 150 if meter is correct. 75% autos are robbing people by fast metering whose fare may go upto 180. so one can easily see the hugh profit percentage, the autovals are earning and there is no absolute necessary to increase fare. Government should think about common man who is already suffering from inflation problem. After seeing above calculation of expense against profit by autos, auto union’s demand to increase fare is completely unethical and they are trying to rob people. Government should not support such unethical demands by autovalas. All passengers should strongly condemn the unethical demand to increase fare by autovalas. The political partys should notsupport these auto unions who are robbing people already

Lets have Peace and have a big heart...

We Indian do not like others to excel that is evident in all these rhetoric created for an entry of Barfi to oscars. If it is not worth it then it may not even win filmfare and if it deserves than feel proud when that moment arrives.Apart from Salman khan and shahrukh khan i do not see anybody else who bothers which film gets selected for oscars or crosses 100 crore mark.Ranbir,Priyanka and Anurag did a tremendous job by creating a masterpeice and we as an avid filmgoers like many such movies to be made instead of trash like Ek tha tiger,Bodygaurd,Dabang,Ra one etc.We must now outgrow these 2 old hogs (khans) and move on for some refreshing new talents.

@ Tajinder - India's film Industry is just not bollywood, there is more to it. If it is a entry of an Indian filem one cant consider only bollywood which is mostly copy or adopted. I dont agree you say Barfi is the only good option. How many of regional films were evaluated???

Agreed..

Will not comment about all the movies mentioned in this article, but surely there were more deserving movies than Barfi..
Like
Gangs of Wasseypur
Pan Singh Tomar
Saheb Biwi aur Gangster
Vicky Donor
etc...
Although i liked barfi too, but its not original, many scenes r compiled & copied, just its executed..
But then also, If u r sending some thing 2 Oscars, better send some thing original & great, like Gangs of wasseypur & Pan singh Tomar & Shanghai too (Forgot 2 mention)..
People sitting at oscars r not fools like here...
Thoda paisa diya, aur manwa li apni baat....
