If they are only awarding HINDI film and non-film music, and not any other part of India, why not just call it Global HINDI Music Awards?
This is very similar to IIFA, which only recognises Hindi films and disregards the rest of India. However for their own convenience (when it comes to numbers), they add up Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi and Kannada cinema and call Bollywood the largest film industry in the world. For many years the number of Telugu films released outnumbered Hindi films!
With such internal bias, we Indians have no right to cry over Hollywood bias/ US-bias and UK-bias.
