Please watch Sridevi's tamil movies. Each movie role was different and distinct to the other. '16 Vaithinile' showed her as an innocent village girl falling for an exploiting city boy, 'meendum kokila' for naive and suspecting wife, 'sigappu rojakkal' for unsuspecting wife of a serial killer, 'moondram pirai' for mentally disturbed woman, 'Johnny' for a singer with stoic, 'varumayin niram sivappu' for struggling intellectual girl. Each of those movies are gems.

Aptly said many of the members here may have not seen the great movies mentioned by you in which sridevi was simply superb..I loved her natural performance especially in Jhonny and Meendum Kokila ...great actress
Sridevi is probably the best actress/heroine that Indian cinema has ever produced. During her tenure, she was no. 1 in Telugu/Tamil/Kannada and Hindi film industry not just for her looks but for her acting skills too. I never saw anyone who can excel at comedy, tradegy other emotional skills including dancing like Sridevi. Hindi audience could see her real acting skills in few movies like Sadma(unforgettable movie of Sri/Kamal that will make even rocks to melt away), Lamhe, Chalbaaz, KudaGawah. She is truly a born actress.

In men, it is Kamal Hasan that is on par with Sri or a bit better.

she is tamil from her child hood as heroine queen of tamil once any one toped in tamil will be naturally called as queen of south..because of fan all over south india around the world..off course she is no 1 in other languages too her best films are in tamil only her romance always good with rajinikanth and kamakhassan
