Mili was a flop. Chupke Chupke was hit because the script, direction and Dharmendra's comic role. She had hardly any role in Sholay.

Jaya had Kora Kagaz in 1974, which got her a Filmfare award. Also Nauker in 1979.
Plus she had Silsila in 1981.

In the old days married heroines turned off male Indian audience because they could not fantasize about the heroines after they got married.
Fantasizing about married women meant following their husbands after the deed.
For some reason it does not seem to bother Indian male audiences these days!
