this movie is for people who struggled and made it big in life, only they will connect with it - not for everyone
It is truly one of the best movies I have watched

It does get tedious , during the first couple of hours , but the film picks up when the bubbly anushka steps in

A FILM FOR NRIS
by chilluchillu on Nov 19, 2012 09:15 AM

This is a film defenitely for NRI audience. The camera captures london, ladakh nicely. the movie is bit of a drag with SRK stone faced most of the time. Katrina looks like a barbie doll with limited acting skills whereas the only bright spot is anushka. Defenitely expected more from Yash chopra & SRK.

ajay n akshay might be behind it - shd be investigated.
As for JTHJ, just leave ur brains at home and enjoy this total time pass masala from the king of p e r version n exp05ure
total paisa vasool.. with some chumm@ ch@t1 scenes thrown in for voyeurism.
SRK is helping the entire nation to stand up on its feet after it was thrown in to confusion by Akshay's OMG.
one s0re point, in place of anushka spme old h a g shd ve been cast, like hema malini. hema n srk can burn the cinemas with their hot chemistry. ask dharm pa gee

very true
That the numbers just don’t add up. Shah Rukh Khan doesn't look 28, Katrina Kaif 21 or Anupam Kher 50. The spectacle of a haggard-looking hero in his mid-40s strumming a guitar on the streets of London seems like a pathetic attempt to turn back the clock. This isn't Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge once more, although Aditya Chopra’s watery story tries very hard to reprise several key motifs.

That the screenplay has so many holes, after a point you lose count. When and how did a waiter from London join the Indian army, rise to the rank of Major and was allowed by his superiors to go around diffusing bombs without protection, just to defy death? How many bombs are there in Kashmir, sinc
e the Major seems a very busy man? (His count by the end of the film is 108 and we aren't exactly in Iraq.) How is a rookie journalist let loose in high-risk situations without proper authorisation or even a basic crew? What happens to the father's character in the second half? And the army job after the retrograde amnesia? The list goes on...

That Gulzar's words and A R Rahman's music have never sounded so insipid. Given the confusion of the script it's hardly surprising. Despite the promotional blitzkrieg, one can’t recollect a single notable number. Madan Mohan’s unused compositions, rendered by Lata Mangeshkar’s tired voice in Veer Zaara were infinitely superior to Rahman’s original soundtrack for this one.
