although it does not boast of any major khan, still its worth 1 time watch for some buffoonery thrown in here and there. if u like its good, but there is no need to eulogize yourself to intellectual heights by trying to find socially applicable pointers. from that point of view, RGV ki AAg also dealt with lawlessness and its dark side as well as violence and its worthlessness.

Odd comment. JBDY was built round social ills. It was a 'normal' film without flamboyant actors, flashy dresses, matkas & jhatkas and ever-present 'dhishum-dhishum'. While enjoying the with and humour in the movie, if you miss its social message, you are definitely missing something. Its definitely a film worth 'eulogising'; one of the best of its kind. That cannot be said of every movie.
Kudos for reviewing such a wonderful film, which is still relevant after so many years. Naseer, Puri and Pankaj are some of my favourite actors, whose off-beat films made during the late 70's to 80's are gems of Indian cinema. Cheers.

It is sad that some of the actors are no more. Bhakti Barve died in 2001; Ravi Baswani died in 2011 and editor Renu Saluja in 2000. But this has always been a land mark film famous for satire , comedy and good acting.
