In tamil there were lots of 'ahead of times' movies made even in 70's be it thriller like 'sigappu rojakkal' or 'moodupani' or fiction movies like vikram etc. People like Kamal hassan, manirathnam, K.balachander have tried distinct subject in their times. When compared to 'Vikram' done by Kamal in 1986, Mr.India made in 1987 is nothing.

i appreciate Tamil cinema but why compare it with Hindi cinema.. tamil movies are only wathced by 1 or 2 states.. Hindi movies are watched by all states except 2 or 3

Agree. And those who watch hindi films it end up in a bad state!!!, as they are pathetic and illogical films with copious amounts of slap stick buffonery thrown in..

Dear Babu,yes we all agree there are many fils ahead of its time in all the regions BUT Please Do not Compare Because Comparisons are always insedious,invidious and likely to cause resentments even among the most sober minds.

He is a critically acclaimed film maker, his way of telling story through cinema and with awesome direction is simply enchanting !

if i am not wrong,he also acted in the serial "UDAAN" as an IAS Officer ,which was a big hit .I really like his persona.
