This guy had the potential to be right there at the top. Like Vinod Khanna two decades before him, Jackie also squandered a great opportunity to make something of his career.
If he had a mentor or a PR manager who could have helped him cultivate his image properly he may have reached heights.
He was never a very great actor but was very good looking as compared to most of his contemporaries and if he had managed himself properly Hollywood was not far for him (in action flicks and the like) but this is yet another career that's meandered without any proper destination in sight.
He is my favorite actor. He was natural and stylish, never required 6 packs and still looked macho. better person then those Starsons since he came from ordinary family.
He was a good actor but also a good human and down to earth , never created any controversy even when he was in top list. Thats why he is suffering now.

yes, not only as Hero but he also did variety of character roles including Saibaba (Malik Ek). I doubt any other mainstream actor can play Saibaba.
anil kapoor should remember that irrfan khan is doing far more substantial work than him in hollywood n lets his work spk for himself.. than his blink n miss MI 4 role which he harped abt so much in his fake accent

Arre Bacha , Anil Kapoor is doing cities(good lengthy role) , has done slumdog(better role than irfan). Comming to MI4 , It is a big Movie and is an opportunity to work even in small roles for those kind of movies ... He should be compared with Superstars like Amitabh , SRK , Aamir , Sallu and Akshay not Irfan..
Jackie was a very macho actor with a macho voice. He gave it all away due to indulgence in wine and women. He just could not stay away from these two and he lost it all – name, fame and stardom.

Apart from wine, his decision of producing movies went wrong. He suffered huge loss by making first movie Grahan which took 4 years to release. because of this he started working with Mithun in B grade movies.
