I feel sad that Pran saab was denied of this award yet again. Or i must say the award failed to felicitate itself with the great actor and human being called Pran.
"I don't think today's scriptwriters can ever match the brilliance of their predecessors." - that hit the nail on it's head. The dedication and finesse of actors have gone down since the focus is on gym, dance and wardrobe rather than genuine acting prowess, honed on a staple diet of theatre. But that could still be regained. The biggest thing amiss in regional Bengali movies these days is a strong script. Without an effective storyline, you can only hold the audience's interest for so long ..
