It's a very cheap movie. direction is weak. Bad pairing of lead actors. They are a mismatch. Poor dialogues. Only sick, low class, illiterate people, shall like such third class movie.It's a complete waste of time and money. Think twice before going.
I disagree that the film is regressive. Yes, the heroine is wronged, gagged and beaten, but she gives it all back in the same coin. She slashes Parma, slaps him more than any lady has in a film seen in Bollywood for years, and what's been described as her meek submission to brutality and craven surrender to machismo is nothing but a change of heart reciprocal to a similar change in the hero.
I like Raja Sen's reviews but at times I sense that his eye deliberately tries to dig out regression where there is none.

if you know what happens in UP or care for it then go, otherwise movie has nothing new to offer, not even enough twists
