Not sure what the reviewers expect... Seems either the reviewer grew up in a place where Tamil is not spoken or is behaving too urban to sense excellence....
I am not sure why this is rated as good movie! I agree that the characters have lived their roles but apart from that nothing much. By showing what happens on road or middle class family doesn't make a movie! We all know what happens or happening at these places. If someone says they didn't know they must be kids under 15. Its a well directed movie, screenplay, well shot but the missing fact is it is not a movie. This is a well made documentary/art film which tries to be a full length feature film. Personally, I felt I was watching a drama unfold (which I already knew!). This is going to be such a failure at Box Office that it will not survive 2nd week. If it survives I will be amazed!!!!!

After the poor girl punishes the police the newpaper headlines read the school boy is punished. Check it out next time when u watch. justice triumphs

You are correct Mohan... Bala: even i too felt very hard when the police behaved in other way and when the innocent was punished. But at the end, they say the actual accused is punished..But it should have also been showcased. Excellent Movie. I saw lot of people cried in theater. Hatsoff to the director.
such a pathetic review to one of the best tamil films so far....pls grow up reviewers....u dont have to take your words back if the film backfires...feel free to tell what you think, don't label a movie as commercial, masala or arty...let the public decide that....your job is to give a honest review of the movie....that's all....this is one of the finest movies that has come in so many years...pls give the recognition when it is released...don't make it larger than life after it gets recognition....grow up pavithra
Its really a wonderful movie..Probably the best in tamil so far... Hats off to Balaji Sakthivel...m so proud that we do have directors like him in tamil cinema :)..
