Priyadarshan is basically trader not a film director. He himself sayes "Filmed"by. He accepts films on contract basis. First copy on a fixed amount. after that he tries to cut all expenditure possible so that he can pocket the money In this process quality suffers. Many a time his producer doesn't know the subject. It is said that he picks up a Malayalam DVD closing his eyes and proceeds remaking the same. Once he picked DVD of Malayalam film which is already remade, but that didn't make him change the idea. He remade that remade film and flopped. Idea of Tezz he narrated to Shahrukh, and Akshay but they refused and poor Ajay got trapped. Out of 26 Hindi films 23 have flopped.Tezz is 9th consecutive flop and 5th in a row which doesn't open above 20% capacity. He will not be able to make another Hera Pheri or Virasat because if he hasto, somebody in Kerala should do it first. Now all Hindi leading actors are hiding the moment they see Priyan because nobody wants a flop.
Instead of blaming the producer, the director should have admitted his mistakes. The biggest mistake is that he has given Motulal only a small role. People all over India is laughing their heart out when motulal speaks in Hindi and doing action with his potbelly. That is the only enjoyable part in the film.
priyadarshan has lost his charm a decade ago...only bollywood will keep a third rate dir. like him..hes a nobody in south...poor hindiwalla's..lols...keep suffering my friends..
All the producers want Priyan to produce a Comedy. But No, Priyadarshan will only direct a comedy for them, if they would produce some flops like Tez/bum bum bolea/akrosh/kyun ki. SRK & Salman wanted to do a comedy with Priyan, but priyan only want serious movies with them. There are better directors available for this genre. Actual problem is Priyadashan’s stubbornness in being the Jack of all trades. Look at the performance of Houseful2 other comedies. Priyan himself don’t seem to have any respect for his own comedy movies. Though idea may be copied from various other films, he is still great in putting together all into a good comedy movie. People are so in need of comedies & Priyadarshan is gifted in that genre. Priyadashan will keep on churning out duds in box-office unless he rectifies his mistake, instead of blaming others who has actually lost money because of trusting Priyan’s words.
