Koni. The thespian possibly was seen most innate in the role of Kshitish Sinha. The film won National Award in 1984, needless to say by virtue of excellence of Soumitra Chatterjee.
Ofcourse he deserves Dada Saheb Phalke ,even life time Oskar,if Satyajit Ray can get why not Saumitra ,without Saumitra there is no value of Satyajit's film!! I hv great respect on him becoa I know him very closely once he has said I do acting for my satishfaction not for money if I need money they I hv to go Bollywood.He did not do any Bollywood film becoz he knew Bollywood doesnot give full respect to Uttam kumar!!

I hv long list of Saumitra's film his 99.99% film is good!!
the emotions shown by all the three main characters in the movie, husband, wife and soumitra chatterjee are awesome....u just keep guessing till the end as to if the husband knows everything, if the wife still has any feelings or soumitra....good portrayal of human emotions...
