Soumitro is uncomprable
by kris bhatt on Mar 22, 2012 11:10 PM

Late, but happy not too late.

A hero without heroic mannerisms.

Have been watching his movies since childhood. But now I realize how great he is, at mid 30.

makes me cry, amazing actor, comeon guys, he is being compared with manoj kumar, pran and vaijantimala???agreed, they are great, but comparing soumitro with them is an insult to him!!! just watch apur sansar, chaurulata, devi, Sonar kella

Pity, those movies are in bengali and i pity most of fellows here who cant understand bengali, as it deprives them from seeing finest creation of very best of indian cinema: satyajit ray and soumitro..take care

did u just forget that Award which is being given to him is named after Dadasaheb Phalke, father of Indian Cinema and What about Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosale, Madhuri Dikshit , Nana Patekar ..But I can not see any one from Karnataka in that list .. Yeah I agree that there is Ananth Nag.. But he is best known for Malgudi Days rather than for his main-stream cinema .. dnt u think that you should have thought twice before writing that ?? Maharshtrians has given so many great people to Arts, Culture ,History , Literature , Politics , Cricket , Sports ... I am proud to be Marathi

I would request dummy to avoid regionalism in this forum. Though i am not a Maharashtrian, i think ashes has a point. All these people mentioned here are great.
