my humble observation is that law and morals do not always mirror image with each other. A money fleecing sukhi lala type character can be on the correct side of the law and get cid protection but can be a complete size zeroe on the humanity front and a Paansingh tomar type person can be on the wrong side of the law but may be justified. A kanoon ka pujari cannot be totally emulated.

CID is a very Unique presentation in all aspects of Cinemotograph
by Vythianathan on Mar 20, 2012 04:02 PM  | Hide replies

What in reality is even criminals in real life seeing this serial will shudder on hearing names Pradyuman,Jaya,Abhijit,Saluke,Fredrick,Vivek etc., what a running that to medley they perform,Words cannot justify that true to life depictions in the serial, my youngest grandson aged 6years remain to serial CID only !

Amazing fact abt CID
by Jitesh Agrawal on Mar 20, 2012 03:58 PM  | Hide replies

1. Daya has the world record in breaking doors.

2. CID bureau has same one toyota qualis for last 15 years.

3. In entire 20 storeyed building of CID only 7 people work.

4. There is no police, everything is handled by CID

5. None of the characters of CID ever got married.

6. None of them ever got promotion, not even ACP

7. Salunke presses CTRL and ALT everytime and gets the finger print match

8. End of episode all criminals become eligible for fassi

GREATEST OF ALL

9. All investigation doesnt lead anywhere, its always a slap from Daya which makes the accused accept the crime immediately

All said.... amazing that they come out with stories and have loyal viewers

6 is not true.
Daya started as a sub-inspector and now he is a senior-inspector.
Vivek and Fredricks started as sub-inspectors now they are inspectors.

Agree with you to some extent, but still many of the episodes are interesteing. Moreover, CID team acts well. However, could find any reason as to why ACP Praduman is not promoted till now , ACP for last so many years, hahahaa

Earlier I was a CID fan but now my interest is diminished. I feel adalat is better. What I don’t like about CID is that the officers talk rather rudely to the public in the serial. Inspector Dayas slaps are also quite unnecessary. After all K.D. Pathak also gets his hands on the culprit and doesn’t need any physical force. I have seen Daya slapping a watchman sleeping on duty. Many time I see the final criminal apprehended is actually a victim of circumstances ie a person who has really got a raw deal. ( ie relative killed or disinherited from parental property.
I also dislike ACP or for that matter any inspecter saying tumhe to phaansi hogi. Are yaar tum CID officer ho astrologer ya judge naheen. KD. Pathak just brings proofs and nails the criminal. Doesn’t make any arrogant declarations. An officer of law is justified in hitting a person only when that person is evading or resisting arrest. Not denying crime otherwise courts ki zaroorat hi kya hai. Saare cases kef aisle police ya cid mein hi ho jaate.
