Holi is an occasion with countless bad aspects ranging from use of harmful chemicals to molestation of woman to drinking of liquor in the open to singing lewd and vulgar songs... the list goes on.
Hence this disgusting event should be banned immediately.

You are right, in AP or TN nobody educated/civilized celebrates it, only a handful of roadside mischief mongers do that and on the pretext of applying colors they do so many other things.

ya but only by north indians who have migrated, but still holy is festival if played among friends and family and not disturbing the public
Its a chance for the perverted young men to drink the local bhaang and molest girls in the name of applying color....They even do that forcefully to other religion girls who do not wish to participate too Its too bad that even many girls are allowing boys to openly feel their body parts and parents dont mind and say that they're celebrating the festival......
If any boy does it in the other 364 days of the year,he will beaten and handed off to police....Hindus should stop this double standards...

very true. I rmemeber a junior girl in my college days, years ago, who got molested by my classmates two days before the festival itself. Her only fault was coming to the college on that day. Like many others she did try to reach the busstop to take a bus. But these perverts did not leave there too. They followed her till the busstop and did this disgusting thing and then later bragged to everyone about the brave act.

I totally agree, Holy is a festival and is about Culture. No Culture allows molesting/teasing any girl/boy/old aged woman/men/or people from the other community. Instead of doing it as a cultural Act, people make this act look more like a ROWDYNESS on the streets, Perverts take advantage and attach girls. Such events trigger communal Divestemnt and leads into conflicts. I think Holy should not be banned but should be banned from Blocking streets and throwing colors on strangers !! But I think INDIA as a country will need another 200 years before people will be that educated to understand the sensitivity behind insulting other communities.
