Organic farming alone definitely will not give the potential yield of a crop/ variety. Blend of organic and chemical fertilisers in say 25:75 ratio maintains soil health and gives potential yield of a crop. The availability of Organic manures is the greatest problem.About 50% of vegetables and fruits are eaten by 31% of urban population due to their better purchasing power. Therefore, urban refuse and excreta may be compulsory converted in organic manures and supplied to farmers at reasonable cost. Dr S S Sangwan,Rohtak, 9996804038
Organic farming alone definitely will not give the potential yield of a crop/ variety. otherwise use of only synthetic/chemical fertilisers will reduce spoil the health of the soil. The problem for organic farming is the availability of Organic manures.Hence, blend of organic and chemical fertilisers in 25:75 ratio maintains soil health and gives potential yield of a crop.
First of all organic farming is only possible where is the soil is really good to get reasonable results. Secondly the pest problems in the environment also need to be studied before organic farming can be taken up. All around the world pesticides are used. The problem is not with the pesticides, it the way is handled and exposed.
Aamir Khan says that he takes drugs (medicine) only when he needs. Hasnt he taken polio and other vaccinations. When one travels abroad at times yellow fever injections are a must.
With his hair jet black and beard half grey Aamir can talk bullshit. There are more farmers and people starving because they cannot afford pesticides.
now the time has come when we should seriously think about organic farming for sustainable development because of excessive use of pesticide and chemical fertilizers the soil chemistry is getting disbalance all beneficial microbes are being destroyed.and bad consequences of excessive use of pesticides/ ferlizers are apparent in form of errupting of various diceases.the only alternative is to go back to nature for farming that is what is organic farming. it is coming future in farming .

you are absolutely right.. the organic forming increases the organic activity in the soil, and thus it strengthens the internal energy of the soil..
the food will be so tasty to eat. I have seen in my own village who use organic fertilizers produce double output than those using chemical fertilizers
I must say only due to Green revolution our cultivation managed to fulfil needs of large people. if we use only organic then production will go less & we need to depend on other nations to fulfil things.
Although organic is good but quantity will reduce. we need to manage both quality & quantity.
partial organic and partial pesticide use should cater the need.

Reduction in Production...The farmer in the programme mentioned - it reduced by 10% in the 1st year but after that the produce increased.
Secondly, it will take time for people to accept Organic produce and hence this process is gradual.

pestisides are to stop cultivation from being destroyed by germs and insects. We have organic way of saving them also and rather crops can be much better after use of organic pesticides.

No .. its not true ... I Have seen people growing two times more production with organic fertilizers.
when you start using organic fertilizers the the organic content and good factors of the soil increases every year .. if you use chemical fertilizer .. the organic activity in the soil lessons every year and more and more chemical fertilizer needs to be used ..
quantity is not the only concern ... quality is important ...
Simple questions ? facts: 1> people who were before green revolution were more healthier than today.
2> the chemical pesticides intorduces poison in to the food which is undesirable ? what ever may be the production ... people will die of dreaded deceases like Cancer .

There are farmers who are producing more by adopting organic way. Different combination of compost is required for different type soils. But with pesticides way, the day will come with ZERO crop.
