The ticket rates are slashed by 50% and movie is stopped at interval which is tolerable. For the very few with guts to face the terrible second half, subsidised liquor to be provided in the theatre , so they can get sloshed to tolerate the torture
Costliest flop ever in Malayalam (35 crore down the drain): Casanovva, best reviewed flop of the year: Grandmaster, quickest flop in Hindi: Tezzz, Quickest flop in Malayalam: Spirit! Outstanding we are sure the record will be even bettered with Run Baby Run. All the best
I have heard a quotation about teachers long back...it was some where deep down in my memory. But when i watched the film "spirit" it came to my mind once again.that is an average teacher teaches and a good teacher inspires.Renjith's films are like a good teacher it sensitizes the audience and not teaches. But "spirit"is just like teaching the bad effects of drinking.A very disappointing attempt from Renjith.Apart from Mohanlal's acting nothing is realy worth remembering. The concept is good but the treatment is below average. And regarding the music Shahbaz Aman's music is just a mix of his previous one.Even the orchestration too is somewhat similar to Indian Rupee. The only advantage is that of you watch the movie you can get an entry into guiness book of world records for watching a movie which shows the tag of "madhyapaanam pukavali aarogyathinu haanikaram"that tag is there for the 75 percentage of the movie. And the film is nothing else..After watching the movie and when you are out of the theatre it is like coming out of a de-addiction centre...
Spirit, it conveys a lot. it gives a BIG outlook how keralites, especially the lower class family is affected by alcoholism. Now about the movie, it 100% succeeded in conveying the idea about the subject. No one can say that Mohanlal wasted the role in it. look at the way he handled the life of an addicted person. He did it beautifully. It never got bored for me. Then, had Renjith added any scene that thrills Mohanlal as an actor, film would have been worse. Renjith showed his true talent by showing his simple but powerful script. Though it captures not much outside world (mostly Bar) it has a value in it. Thank You Renjith
Watched twice from bangalore. Both theathres were house full with claps and laughs through out the film. The second time when i watched it was more impressive than the first time. I recommend that all should see twice you will get to know the beauty more. Lalettan was awesome with his versatile performance, and master piece script by ranjith. In a word the film is "AWESOME". LALISM seen once again, you are still the best Lalettaa...:) :)
