& women sometimes also reveals their average intelligence.
Reported in the Times of India in the year 1994 :
Rekha was on one of her visits to the US at the invitation of drooling NRI Hindi film buffs. She happened to be at a store in Los Angeles one evening when she noticed the famous Hollywood singer cum actress, Ms. Barbara Streisand walking along the shop aisles.
Rekha promptly went up to her and greeted her and introduced herself as Rekha (without mentioning what she was). The report stated that the two talked for a while and that the conversation was friendly.
However, before turning to leave, Ms. Streisand stunned Rekha by asking "What do you do for a living ?" (she must have thought that Rekha was one more of the immigrant coloured women eager to seize a chance to try and become familiar) !!
This incident was narrated to the TOI by Rekha herself !!
Poor & innocent Rekha obviously imagined that Streisand and the rest of Hollywood would know her and all about 'Bollywood' just as she and the rest of 'Bollywood' knew all about Hollywood !!

This story is nothing. Twice SRK went to US and both the time the Yankees thought that he was a t3rr0rist. Funny Bollywood, they expect the whole world to know them.

piri, And your post indicates that you have below average intelligence and worse inferiority complex. While in India if Vin Diesel walks up to Hrithik Roshan out of nowhere hrithink wouldn't recognize either.

You do not know much about how the west in general perceives India and its film industry, do you ??
You might be trying hard to be an apologist for Bollywood's fame in the west (that ever-cherished 'golden fleece', isn't it?), yet Bollywood itself appears very very unsure about its fame there !!
One only has to watch the constant flow of Indian 'stars' to western festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, etc. and their utterings, laboured prancing before cameras (Indian cameras of course; western photographers hardly ever care for them) and equally laboured attempts at explaining to the Indian media about their 'successes' at those festivals (success at being able to get in unnoticed?) to understand this fact !!
Half a billion Indians might be drunk with admiration for their Bollywood heroes; but it may precisely be this drunken state that prevents them from seeing or understanding that the west considers their heroes much as the Indians would consider film personalities from Niger, Cameroon, Mexico or Guatemala !!

Jigar, US did not think SRK was t3rr0ist. You think FBI, CIA do not know who SRK is? Forget about SRK even if you travel to US, before you land your flights passenger list gets analyzed by intelligence database and may or may not get flagged. SRK gets stopped because his movie gets financed by a Dawooood Ibrah1m's money launderer not because his last name is Khan(as the media and SRK in India propagates).
