Show will not change anything
by LettertoEditor on Jun 19, 2012 05:14 AM

Such show will not change anything as attitude in society take long time to change. So for India to treat women equally like some countries do it will take hundrerds or thousands of more years. This show will just highlight problems which all Indians know exist but never gives a solution so its like all other shows on TV a waste of time. People watch it because of amir khan not becuase the content is new. Its like all other chat shows on news channel will not change any ground reality

Its a culture
by LettertoEditor on Jun 19, 2012 05:10 AM

Its a culture. India as a culture promotes submissive wife who should listen to family first father and brother then husband and son. Secondly girl's are not financially stable society never treats women as bread winners. Thirdly in India unlike in North America and Europe single women and women head of family are not respected. In india only men can be head of family rarely a woman. And if any bold woman dares to become independent society brands her and family discards her. Majority Asian countries have same attitude to women except may be Japan. This discrimination starts from childhood only like a brother can hit a sister but sister retaliates in play and brother complains to parents then sister is reprimanded but never vice versa usually.

Aamir Khan should discuss his own messy divorce case and the treatment to his first wife (& children) before putting up this "drama" for public consumption. Big double talker!
