"...she put her foot down. She insists we stay with my parents." --- Why didn't he put his foot down, and insist they stay with her parents too? Why in our society girls parents are considered not that important? Sad! Would have appreciated her more if she had put her foot down and insisted that they stay separate but be there for both parents! Till that happens, the society will not change its attitude of wanting a boy instead of a girl.

She forgot her own parents...she too wants to be there only for her husbands parents...Ah the double standards of Indian 'culture'!
