the director of this film ramesh sippy is most fortunate and unfortunate. all his subsequent films even through fine(eg. shakti) were compared with sholay. sholay is like peak mount everest, everything is below.
Every part of the movie was good, but our people have an overdose of anything which is good. For example, the dialogues "Yehhaathhumkodede Thakur", "KitneAadmithe?", "Suvarkebaccho", "ArreOSaambha,kitnainaamrakkhehaisarkaarhampar?", etc are too many times heard. Leave Sholay as a legendary film and dont make it a daily sop by making permutation combination of its screenplay/dialogues....
Still sholay.... Get a life guys. Itni bhi Acchi film nahin thi ki us ki 3d 4d banayi jaye. Bus karo yaar... Bore ho chukay from that kitney aadmi they....
Nothing special in that movie. Its ordinary like most of other hindi movie. Since it is the longest running movie at that time people now blindly accepted it as great movie.

well, you must have liked Om Shanti Om better than Sholay.. u like all khan movies..
