When most superstars like Dev Anand, Dilip Kumar and Rajesh Khanna used to go into retirement from Showbiz like join Politics or non celebrity stuff at same time Amitabh with hidden guidance of Dhirubhai Ambani continued with Showbiz and made unprecedented success with KBC 2000, Black(Filmfare award)2003-2004 I think, gave a run to Sharukh Khan(top actor in early 2000) for his money in Mohabettein and raised benchmark for all actors as far as money was concerned in Movie Industry per film and also in Advertisement industry. More importantly he a fine example of coming back from the grave when he a fiasco with ABC with Miss Universe Paegement in India and the flop films. He never gave up or ran away like most men do at such big losses of 100's of crores and paid off all his creditors. In 1991, he became the first artist to receive the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, which was established in the name of Raj Kapoor. Bachchan was crowned as Superstar of the Millennium in 2000 at the Filmfare Awards. The Government of India awarded him with the Padma Shri in 1984 and the Padma Bhushan in 2001. France's highest civilian honour, the Knight of the Legion of Honour, was conferred upon him by the French Government in 2007 for his "exceptional career in the world of cinema and beyond".
