Freida has a huge future ahead of her. Her acting talents have improved greatly from "Slumdog..." I saw her in "Miral" and was amazed at her performance. She is here to stay and will certainly get many awards. Most importantly she has her head on her shoulders. I see her on the rise.

gets 5 min roles mosely. getting roles like maid, slum girl,etc. had the lead in two movies and blew her chances of becoming a good actress. she is not makng headlines in hollywood, nor does the average american know who she is.

Correct and that is the sad part of Bollywood and its followers. We are so stuck on treating caucasian features and white skin, that any girl who does not have that, would have to face an uphill struggle to be appreciated. And in all this, acting prowess does not feature at all. IN West, inner beauty and a personality that stands out, is considered beautiful. Frieda Pinto has that and that's why West would notice her. Unfortunately, in India, she will be considered only a low-life because of her looks that resemble with 99% of Indians. Pathetic!

Due to luck and timing. No talent or looks. if she were talented, she would be getting more then 5 min roles. She would be stealing Scarlett and Natalie roles if she had talent but she doesn't. She is a flop actress, just like Aishwarya Rai.

Henry cavil was the lead in Immortals, and Dev Patel was the lead in SDM , what are you talking about? Pinto was in slumdog for about 10 minutes, doens't make her the lead. Even those kids did more acting then her.
