It is somewhat uncomfortableto see film makers portray an irresponsible presentation of sexually explicit dance andandSongs in the bewildering wretchedness oflives of theslum Dwellers, in Mumbai chawls. a trend thatwas started by the, now, classicfilm by by slum Masters some-times ago.
We can have greatcinematic representation ofwithout falsesexuality as Satyajit Ray did in his PatherPanchali Trilogy earlier.

Angaar

How could you forget Angaar? it was the best, realistic chawl even featured by bollywood. All the characters were superb. Art director R Verman even won 'Best art director' award for the sets he created in Lokhandwala complex, Mumbai.
