No justice to original 3 idiots. Madhavan is safe. Vijay should have acted in his own style, why imitation. Shrikanth stands still without acting in many places, pathetic Jeeva, O.K. Not upto to sharman joshi... Ileana, wrong choice to cast as heroine, to act in this role she should have dubbed her own voice in tamil, Andrea (wrost dubbing in emotional scenes) Sathyaraj, disappointed in some places.. Sathyan vs Omi, Omi vaidya is the best Harris, very bad background score, In original 3 idiots, music made me to cry in madhavan- father scene (also his acting). He didn't do well for shankar's special. Shankar, already screenplay is very slow, why a need for a song to extend the movie to 3:10 hrs. Never remake good movies & spoil your image you have acheived all through these years in your life... All is not well for the audience who have already watched 3 idiots hindi version... Pls don't attempt such remake...

Why aren't southern movies as popular as their bollywood counterparts on an all India basis(except maybe Rajnikanth films)? Why don't southern film-makers release their films in other parts of India as well(just like Hindi films are released in south India)?
I was looking forward to a slightly modified version from Shankar but it was the exact same like the Hindi one... so it was a disappointment for me atleast. It would have been better if I hadnt watched the Hindi one :-) May be I was expecting too much before going to the movie.

hindi is national language so mos part of india knows hindi... so its .. released national wide... but if tamil spoken nation wide tamil films will be released throughout india & most of it will be hit... but we allow hindi to get copied of southern movies..most of the movies copied from south see bodyguard,ready,singaanm,wanted bollywood's backup by southmovies.
Though the movie has nothing original in it, it is a good one to watch. It is always healthy to come up with films that has multi-heros...all three have almost shared equal space in screen and jeeva's lollu is enjoyable. Srikanth looks amazingly young!!! Sathyan has proved his acting skill and this movie is indeed a great turning point in his career... sathyaraj has carved out his role well!!! and finally, if Vijay continues to choose movies like this, which has some scope for acting and characterization, inspite of roles that contain dance, fight and noisy punch dialogues, definitely he could reach the real "super hero" horizon of tamil cinema.
Awesome movie guys............ Don't say acting. Everyone living n this movie. Don't Compare with 3 Idiots movie.... Tamil s always geth. once again sankar sir proved abt himself. Happy pongal frnds. All s well....
