To all of those who are crying north , south ,blah blah, have some sense and think about facts. More than 99% of movies/songs from north or south which we think are copies of each other are "Officially remade". Officially remade means producer or the rights owner (Not the director / actor / music director) sells the rights officially to the re-maker or re-producer. Then it is the choice of re-maker or re-producer to take actors / directors / music directors of their choice to make a product which suits the audience taste of a region.
So,please understand that re-make is s business where both sout and north industry producers gain with mutual and official consent. Stop fighting for irrelevant things.

well, he atleast bought the rights legally and remade it, instead of Aamir stealing the story scene by scene from Chetan Bhagat and not giving any credit to him... and the analogy that u say works for Salman's Wanted and 100 other Anil Kapoor and Govinda movies that were remade in hindi... without buying the rights... so who's original and who's not, u decide...

Exactly. And it is still better than having another director direct an entire film, then throw him out and call yourself director... Hahahahaha, that kinda nonsense would not fly in the south.

Bollywood has been copying movies from every South Indian language for the last 5 decades. Your Khans and Kumars will tell you what fun it is.
