I am really proud of these actor turned politicians, these people have guts to get into the mainstream politics and serve the mass as they portray in their movies. I firmly believe if you are able to influence lakhs of people through your celebrity stauts, use that popularity to serve the people through the mainstream politics.
NTR & MGR are the classic case who proved better CM's in the Indian history as compared to the seasoned politicians.

there were quite handsome number of telugu community people in TN.Vijaykanth hails from TN only.His hometown is madurai.unlike Reddy brothers calling all the shots in karnataka
This list is incomplete without NTR. He should have been right up there in the list along with MGR. How can one ignore the political sensation who challanged the decades long monopoly of congress in AP and stormed to power just after 9 months of setting up a party. Its strange that REDIFF felt, the likes of Kota Srinivaa Rao, Karthik and Soundrya are more prominent than NT Rama Rao, to add in this list.
What the FLOP Show by Big B in Politics ???? WHY Do they Join Politics - to SERVE the NATION or ...just to hide their black wealth and seek immunity against any cases, whether sports / flim stars ?
NTR is a legendary actor who turned to politician and became CM within 9 months after his launch of TDP. How Rediff missed the greatest in the list????
