Excellent feedback by rediff readers
by Sachin Nair on Feb 15, 2012 09:55 AM

While I imagined I would see a display of black and white as I clicked on this article, I was pleasantly surprised to see the opposite.
Also rediff readers have genuinely appreciated the novel way. While it does seem a bit strange to me, but when I think a little deeper the essence emerges. Infact more than the article, the feedback posted by various people from various walks of life has been an interesting read.

colorful mourning

Genuinely a pathbreaking effort on the part of Kher family to celebrate death. Going the OSHO way.Yes ,Its going to take an entire generation to change the mindset about the only truths that is life and death. We should be doing away with unnecessary expensive outdated and consertive rituals in the name of fake memories of the person no more.

by letuschat on Feb 14, 2012 01:40 PM

very good idea Kherji. when old people die we should . when will we get rid of allthese weepings for nothing. being old anddying is very just. if an youngman dies all of a suden we must weep. for losing someone. old people have to die when they are old....at least aftre 80.

Really difficult to smile when you loose your near and dear ones. But I appreciate that he has not used his talent to pretend to be in grief as I have seen many people doing on these sad moments in life

It was actually a relief for the people who attended the function .. otherwsie our media and photographers - whenever they see a man smiling, talking , checking phones, attending calls, discussing worldly matters --- they publish the photos ....

It is great to see that there are no sad and teary faces. The man led a good and satisfying life and has been given the perfect farewell. Take a bow, Anupam and family.

Remember, death only strikes the body, the soul/spirit is eternal. So, even after death, the spirit continues to survive, guiding and motivating the ones it truly loved.

We should have respect for our elders and should cherish memory we have of time spent with them ... great to see these people value their father's way of life and respect him so much (if they really do) ... May God Bless The Departed Soul and Make Him A Great Human Being Once Again In His Next Birth!
