He seems an intelligent, level headed, self aware guy. That counts for a lot. He has one of the smartest men in Bollywood history as an uncle and mentor. That counts for a lot too. He has a foundation in direction and editing. Those are three very very good things in his favour. He is not a great actor but he is not shockingly bad either. Acting anyway comes to most people with experience - anybody who has watched the first few movies of Akshay Kumar or Salman Khan or Karisma Kapoor, etc. will know that.
It is too early to say where he will end up but the foundation is definitely there for a good, possible great, career.

He will remain a one hit wonder! A wodden faced, owl looking non-actor with Aamir Khan as the only crutch, will not survive in this industry! Dont compare him to Akshay! His very first film Khiladi proved how fine an actor he is. Besides, Akki has Charisma and screen presence which this pygmie lacks! This paiKhan will fade out soon!

Nicely put! I concur. A level head and perspective about success and failure aren't achieved overnight. Good luck to him!
