He is the greatest male playback singer ever. Till date no one can match his versatility and his range of singing. He had a voice of God. Even as a person he was humble, polite, helpful and very generous....a rare quality in ppl today. Hats off to RAFI SAHAB...he is the ultimate singer

or even about overhyped singers like lata, kishore etc? Are present day singers not good? I think adnan, atif aslam and rahat fateh ali khan are better

Good that Rafi and Kishore are no more there.........otherwise they wud have died out of shame as today's so called noise polluters like Mika and Himesh are also singers. All balls!! when compared to Rafi and Kishore da.

singers should sing from their mouth. Many of today singers are singing from backside,sound is as if they have eaten something that is indistable and they are struggling.

looks like being aam aadmi, you have no knowledge of music or a clue about limitations of singers line Adnan,rahat fateh ali of even his father nussarat fateh ali. They are good only for singing certain basic music even though Adna is good in playing keboards & piano. Many singers sound good & touch heart (reshma for ex)but when asked to sing as playback they flunk in a bog way. Looy at talent on SA RE GA MA show. They sound so good. Ask them to sing simple Lata or rafi or Asha's song & performance is miserable. No body comes close to these singers (lata rafi asha) when it comes to sur,taal ,laya,taan & quality of voice & rendering of feelings. rahat & nusarat are very poor in taal (I have live video concerts where one can see Nusarat fatey ali missed basic beat cycles & tabla player had to adjust.
