She was such a complete package as an actress-super looks, great acting, wonderful dancer and most of all the whiff of mysterious depths in her personality that was so unique to her. She is my all-time favourite actress and will always remain so.

The biggest tragedy is she suffered emotional torture at the hands of her husband and physical torture owing to her illness. In such a short career, she became such a superstar. I wonder what would have happened if tragedy had not befallen her. It is interesting how several top Indian actresses of that era suffered in their off-screen lives - Sadhana, Madhubala, Meenakumari, all had tragic lives.

That was her personal problem. On screen, she entertained and thrilled many.
