one should have brains to look at the bigger picture..i may never listen to a blues song in tamil...indian music directors might not even know what it means..rahman's efforts to bring this genre to indian masses should only be appreciated..who cares if it resembles some kelly...so ppl, shut the f**k up n listen...easy way to nirvana..
"Elay keechan", crooned by A R Rahman, has traces of the original soundtrack from Hollywood movie 'Oh Brother Where Art Thou'. Since most of the song is digitally composed, there isn't any scope for musical composition
i just listened to kadal songs and i have no words to explain the versatile combination of songs AR sir has gifted us..
truely a breathtaking album and it opens the door of music to another level which other music directors dares not to try.. AR sir always creates something fresh and educates us that music has no boundaries.. through Kadal, AR sir has crossed the borders of indian music and experimented new genres into them..yet, they have turned up well and with the super fresh lyrics, i can say that tamil lovers would love the songs..they have tried some new words that normal lyricists never used before and they fitted well in ARs magical tunes.. as usual selection of singers is one of the main success factor for AR sir's songs. every singer has their own style and emotion in the song which delivers the music best. my best song vote goes to 'chittirai nila' and "eley keechan".. thanks for another mindblowing album AR sir!
The entire album is very very soothing and thrilling to listen more than once. The new innovative ideas can be produced by A R Rahman only. Blending of two different genres that too a film of totally rural tamil nature is a herculean task but the maestro handled it so easily means he is real master in music. No doubt at all and this album is the best of this year and many more years to come. Hats off to Mr Manirathnam and Mr A R Rahman.
guys please complain if you dont like this album. If rahman songs are liked we have to take as international album and everybody in the entire world including moon are listening only to him. If it is not liked we have to take as experimental and only genius can understand. He has good lobbying with media. A good music has to appeal to you and should not explain the music and accept it. What to do kalikalam.

Define Good Music, Please.... What appeals to you does not necessarily appeal to others. That just makes "Good Music" a personal perception and nothing else.

That is correct. what appeals to media and u need not appeal everybody. My comment is that listen to music what appeals to you. What appeals to me is good music to me. Just because it appeals to foreigners it need not appeal to me. For me it is always raja, it passes through my blood and crate mood.
