Titu.... Who said India is poor? Strangely today every aspect of human life is viewed frm a religious mindset... Why on earth should Jesus come to open eyes of "Blind Indians"? View it as a marketing excercise... In this case the product is the person... Paris Hilton is a brand.... She has to market herself in a emerging economy with affiliation to the West.. She knows that there are advertizers waiting for a new/fresh face. If you understand how casting Directors think you will have answered your question.. Learn to think deep and think beyond with pragmatism....
