Watched it today and enjoyed it. Raja Sen is right about faltering script, but all the exaggerations in this movie are not imaginary - politics is dirty. The only complaint I have is the ending which was very anti-climactic, I felt they could have kept the nonsense going till the end.
If you just want the fun watch the movie. It somehow reminded me of the election classic - Robert Redford's "The Candidate"
A hectic week at work. Stress. Timelines et al. And finally on Friday night you land up at the cinemas to watch the newly released "The Campaign"....man ! what a way to start your weekend ! It may be silly, gross, bizzare, mean... but at the end of it, it is an absolute laugh riot ! Like Raja Sen says, the lines may be forgettable, but they keep you roaring with laughter while they last ! After watching a series of Super Hero flicks and Oscar winners, this light hearted movie is definitely a breeze ! Go for it - if you are watching it on home video, do so with your earphones on ! :-)
