From Sydney with Love -- Why not!
by priyank on Aug 31, 2012 11:32 PM

Although I somewhat Agree to all the flaws that the famous "Preeti" points out about the movie, to say that this movie is "best avoided" is ridiculous. just like the millions of Residents in Mumbai I have also seen my fare share of amazing Bollywood CRAP flushing out of the industry in the past couple of years and clearly this movie was not that bad at all. The cast is New and I feel its a refreshing change to watch them and not see the "YOUNG" SALMAAN KHAN kill 40 gangsters with his one BICEP (Singular).. The story is nothing fancy and does have DDLJ type moments but its not about replicating its about remaking such great memories a little differently otherwise ppl would just be sitting outside the "MANDIR" all day watching the same movie over and over again. The music is really different and I think its one of the best that a movie has had in a while, when you keep the variance of tracks in mind. ( i would have liked to see Evelyn sharma in an item number ) buts thats just becauase I'm a guy :)... I had a few laughs in the movie nothing to fall out of my seat but it left me with a smile on my face.

all together the movie was not bad at all and I believe it will have the same affect on Mumbai crowds since at the end of the day we just want something to do timepass for a few hours before we go out to the pub... so my question is WHY NOT ?...

I think most people reading this article are not going to worry about spending 1

Lets start off with : "Raj, Naam to Suna Hoga"
The full Dialogue is , "Raj, Naam to Suna Hoga; Aur Dialogue Bhi"
The dialogue is MEANT to be a PARODY of the Original one...
I guess you had your earplugs on while seeing the movie.
Post that the review seems to be pretty decent if not great or very good...
true even I noticed a few loopholes, but then again, when has Indian Cinema ever been technically or script wise so correct ? Never.

Comparing the above a line like "Do gift the DVD to friends whom you never want to meet again" seems pretty harsh on an attempt by a promising young director- producer and a young team who are trying atleast to deliver some entertainment.
Unfortunately your review seems to be out of an outburst personally with someone related to the film..

I went with 3 of my friends, each one of us being aspiring film making students.
we hope that reviews written like your's would not misguide people from decent cinema. We would like to advise you to first at least make an attempt to direct a film and see the hard work effort placed in it.

Its a very smart move by Rediff to write real bad stuff in the first and last paragraphs and again write decent in the middle ones, cause people only read the first and last paragraph..

Based on the weight of the review overall, it should get 2.5 stars..

We would love to know the name of the Critic who wrote the review..

To all young aspiring actors, film makers, this one is worth a wat
