@Lovedoo, Please refrain from commenting on singing. And nobody says he will replace Kishore Kumar. Get a mental check-up done. Better still......... fornicate with yourself.
Amit kumar is a versatile singer. It is sure that he will win the game. He has proved that, if there is talent it will come automatically despite any hurdles.Apart from his work by helping his father , he has made it a point that, "Nothing is impossible in the world if you have a firm will power." We all wish him to win this glorious Event.
They call it Indian Idol, but they skip a big city like Chennai or Bangalore or even downsouth kerala for that matter where there is abundance of talent in singing due to singers root coming out from the basic training and not like anu maliks copying other music.
How can they call 'Indian Idol' It should be minus south indian idol. (Earlier Indian idols from south came to nearest place for auditions.)
Agreed South Indians dont jell well and lack communication skills and dont show off like their counterpartsm otherwise why should they be ignored. Lang. sould not be a barrier as music has no lang.

I guess Sreeram won Indian idols last time who hails from South. But i agree that Indian idol is a melodrama and mobile Network Service provider's business.

Don't agree with this part pSouth Indians don't gel well and lack comm skills. It depends on an average based on their earlier education and does not matter from which part of India they are from. I have quite a few friends from Sounth India - and they do gel well and have good comm skills.
These contests have been running since many years now. They have not produced even a single talent like a Rafi or lata or kishore. Couple of them got a few songs in films but soon it was known that they are substandard and they faded away. A talent like Rafi or lata or kishore cannot be produced in batches, they come only once and go. Why on earth we should listen to these substandard singers when originals are available? Good music is produced by a team comprising of excellent lyricists, music directors and top quality singers, and unfortunately we do not have them anymore.

Its unfare to compare upcoming young singers with legends.Ofcourse they were great legends. But They all ruled in an era when the competition was not this fierce.Today 3 out of 5 people are singers and 100 new singers from reality tv as well as other source come up every year and try their luck in bollywood playback. But no one is repeated expect the established one like sreya, sunidhi, shaan, sonu who all came up from a relaatively non-competitive era.
Would love to ask the channel..where are the previous winners? I am yet to see what happened to them. Yes, the 1st winner Abhijeet Sawant is visible..but others are lost in oblivion.
I have been following Indian Idol since the last few months and I feel all the three are very good singers with a very good future. The winner will be decided by luck but my favorite is Vipul becauise of his verstility.
