I seriously pity Bollywood for never having a genre of movies. Down South, back in the 60's Mythological movies were ruling the roost. Bollywood simply doesn't have this genre of movies. In South, NTR has donned the roles with such elan that people of Andhra even till date imagine the role of NTR whenever anyone takes the name of any male God or for that matter even negative characters like Duryodhana. The only other actor who comes close is Sivaji Ganeshan. And who can forget the legendary SV Ranga Rao. These movies are done so well that even the current generation enjoys them. My 6 year old daughter just loves these movies. These are masterpieces !!

Well said. If Krishna comes to earth, people will not believe if he does not resemble NTR. Same case with karnan and Shivaji
I am not sure if anyone can even come close to the legendary NTR when it comes to mythological roles. The only actor who may come close is Shivaji Ganeshan. Bollywood doesn't have anyone in the same league - forget about coming close.
