Great personality and versatile actor. Remember his roles in Sholay, Deewar,Shaukeen, NamakHaram, Guddi, Bawarchi and many more. Comments of Vijayji are also simple yet sensible and in line with the roles of Hangalsaheb.

RIP Hangal saheb.....
by brijesh on Aug 28, 2012 06:24 PM

I did not wanted to say this but Old age is a curse in most cases.... Hangal saheb was a pride personality and in Old age he was out of money. It must have been tought for this pride freedom figher and a bollywood veteran to ask for help.

Not many People know but Amitabh Bachan and reliance were taking care of Hangal saheb's health from last couple of years since they came to know about his rough financial condition.

Hangal Sahib!
by Pramod Goel on Aug 28, 2012 06:06 PM  | Hide replies

The people from film world are so much used to limelight that going to Funeral of Hangal Sahib would be waste of time and as no monetary benefit would have been available, there would be no business sense. The stars should not not forget,"As you sow,so shall you reap"-

D. Goel Pkl. afternoon 6.10pm, Tuesday, August 28, 2012.
Sri Vijay hangal (76)son of late Sri Ak Hangal who died of fracture of hip Bone , that crippled him at the ripe age of 98, and wasnot capable of being operated by Surgeons, and when hewas outthefilmi crowds didnt turn-up forthis sincere Thespian; Vijay hasnot expressedany agony on thisindifference of erstwhile fellow artists. Thatshowsrare equanimity of mindand soul. i do offwermy sincere tributes to departedTespian andunperturbedson.
However, i do feelthathow islifesuch a vain pursuit, that those who were with you so long just forget you as if your life was a line drawn on Water.
If it canhappen to an acclaimed Actor we pimies must see through our vanity fares ,the illusions that we matter to the world atlarge! D. Goel

Sad that big stars have no time for this great and versatile actor. They come for publicity when actors like Rajesh Khanna dies. Lets see who comes in Amitabh Bachchan's funeral...!

Whole Bollywood will turn up with their telephones to their ears.
have you noticed that there will be at least on person entering with the telephone to the ear chatting away.
If the conversation is that important then why come or finish it before entering the deceased's residence.
We all know you all have telephones so do we who are not attached to Bollywood in any way.
I Don't understand do you.

The whole film industry and millions and millions people will be there.

Just because he did not show up at a particular funeral does not effect his image.....you need to understand that the amount of security it needs before a celebraity like Amitabh or any big one goes out to public places. India and Indians are still not ready for it where they treat actors as human and let them live normally. Amitabh had said so many times that he would love to go to certain places but due to crowd gathering and security concern he cannot do so.
