A great actor... May his soul rest in peace. It is really sad to know that he died penniless. Couldn't the so called heroes rolling in money help him in his bad times?

forget helping...no film star turned up for his funeral. Barring Raza Murad, Rakesh Bedi, Ila Arun, Avtar Gill and I noted Dharmesh Tiwari (Now most people who I am referring to here) on TV clippings, no else turned up. That's show biz for you. It reminds me of the climax of Guru Dutt's Kaagaz Ke Phool. So, real... Big B writes on Twitter that he misses the gentleman of Indian cinema, why can't he go to the funeral? Mind you, I am a big fan of Big B since childhood but feel saddended to see his real self.
D. Goel pkl. afternoon 6.10pmSunday , August 26. 2012. Late sri A. K hangal wasborn in akashmiri family ofpeshawar andplayedmany seminal rolwesin any number oflandmark films. he wasa great character, andoozed sincerity from every shred of crow feet laden eyelashes. hewould so easily emote with very deep humanist feelings. I remember Master Dinanath that portrays hisinner core of a humanist. of coursein hiscontroversial Visaepisode chauvinistThackarey chose to call him traitor to hissociety andnation; thatis not true, he was true to all humanity. I am sure pakistanis would also feel like paying a rich homage to this artist who rose to be above all unnatural restrictions that divide human empathies...D. Goel
