Maybe this movie is not completely focused on times of Bhagat Simgh, Rajguru, Sukhdev and Azad, but RDB brings out the essence & the spirit they had through the characters played by Amir Khan and others. This movie is very inspirational for today's youth who has forgotten the sacrifice made by them for a better tommorrow.

RDB is I feel a best patriotic and fitting tribute paid to the real freedom fighters of India

I completely agree... In Sardar Patel, the versatile actor Paresh Rawal played his heart out. Besides the film helped to bring into focus the lacunae & shortcomings of leaders like Nehru & Gandhi.
Amir Khan looked promising as Mangal Pandey but the film was over dramatized & had too many diversions. Nevertheless, it helped to restore the memory of Mangal Pandey & the place in history he deserves
