Whats wrong with it being shown in films when you hear it all around you. Probably not in south india but please visit delhi, kids don't learn these things from movies, they learn it from their parents and grandparents.

It is not profanity, the word just means boy. The Profane hindi word you have in mind does not have n ( bindu ) in it and ends in akshar -ra as in sadak. both words sound similar but are not same

buddhavarapu song would be equally good. Sounds as good as OR even better than choooootiya.
It has become fashion amongst youngsters to watch movies & songs that depicts unnecessary vulgarity. In the name of reality such movies are made. There are many realities like inflation, govt set ups, red tapism, food adulteration, etc...list is endless. Why can't Anuraag Kashyaps and party make fils on such topics? The truth is that people loves and they serve it. Otherwise one can never forget pictures like ANAND[ on cancer], Taare zamin par[ ON dyslexia] etc. One does not find anything ugly and can watch with entire family.
Gang of wasseypur is just hyped as an off beat movie. There are many reality incidences. Those with clear concepts & non-ugly thoughts may find opportunities there.

Yeah, I agree. There are many films apart from 'Anand' and 'Taare Zameen Par' that were based on reality and were commercial films as well as off-beat films. Mehmood did a very beautiful film highlighting Polio eradication, the danger of unclean surroundings and abandoning of infants beautifully woven into a story. There was Sparsh, Masoom, Ek Doctor Ki Maut and even Mandi, which depicted social realities without violence or vulgarism in the name of reality. Manoj Kumar made beutiful films on social reality, like Shor (On Noise Pollution), Upkar (On land- holdings mutation and the armed forces). I think Anurag's only focus is on violence and vulgarity laden reality.

Sudipto, hats off to you (not for the courage) but for the amazing performance. I had read somewhere that you lost 10 Kgs to perform this! which only increases my awe at your committment and zeal. It was just awesome, I am sure this country, media and finally half literate and micro intellect people will someday realize this feat. Way to go !!!
