Since this whole story is about the *cultural* side of IPL at PUNE, isn’t it strange and deplorable that not a single Marathi song or Marathi dancer was used?
For example, they could have used the original *Kombadi* song from which the Agneepath *Chikni Chameli* was made, and, say, Madhuri Dixit or Urmila Matondkar could have danced on it.
There can be Hindi (the bane of all other Indian languages), Bengali (Subrata factor, also responsible for coming back of Ganguly), Tamil but no Marathi. Why?
There is a concerted effort to EXCLUDE Marathi and Maharashtrians because only money speaks now a days, and Maharashtrians are not rich, by and large. They must, however, become insistent on their language and culture, like Bengalis and Tamils. Otherwise, they and their language will perish.
As to cricket, once having majority in the team, where are the Maharashtrians now? None in the Indian team barring the great Sachin. Time to wake up!!

Wrong rely buddy. The investment happens in India. But because of the investments in education and infrastructure, certain parts of India are more affluent than the rest. Just like in a house when different Brothers porgress differently there is something called as Sibling Rivarly thats all !!
